Larger High Speed Bridge Style Mill Introduced

Famu’s new Master TT90 milling machine is a newly introduced, larger version of our PHS Series of high speed bridge style machining centers.

In this style machine, the table travels on its own set of linear ways to provide 71” of longitudinal travel. Two stationary columns support the bridge. The cross slide moves along the bridge, providing 71” of cross travel, and a ram slides up and down on the cross slide for its 32” of vertical travel.

The CNC controlled tilting milling head includes an integrated 24,000 rpm, 23 horsepower spindle, and has a range of +45/-95 degrees. A 36” diameter rotary table is integrated into the machine’s main table. New torque motor drive technology provides rotary table speeds up to 80 rpm.

Feed rates of 1200 ipm are achieved by combining linear guideways with an AC digital servo system. A twenty position automatic tool changer, laser tool presetter, full metal enclosure and a Heidenhain iTNC 530 CNC control are included.
